Landbreakers inaugural residency and debut performances were held at Barlach Halle K, Hamburg in the summer of 2021. After working remotely for several weeks prior to the initial residency, artists Konrad Ross, Ashley Alexandra Wright & Thomas A. Bradley came together in full force. Presented by Elvie Barlach and curated by Angelika Morgen, Landbreakers first edition ran from 28 – 31 July. Daily practice took the form of durational sessions, as the artists moved organically between mediums, slowly defining a multi-disciplinary approach to performance. Performances streamed live on both 29 and 30 July. Located between the Kunstverein and the Museum Mile in the middle of Hamburg's art scene, the Barlach Halle K flooded with light providing an ideal setting for the project’s launch.
